Kenny’s week 38: Another one down!

Image
It's really just mission work out here! We're out finding a bunch of new friends that for the most part are very well receptive to our message :) - We’re cracking down on formality here in the mission, there have been some Elders that aren't very professional in the work and we’re changing it all up... we shouldn’t use ‘vos’ form language, but ‘usted’. And the handshake should be American style rather than the more casual Argentinian ‘dap’ style. - No new news on the food end... it's still pretty dang good o'er here hehe - Had a great baptism for one of the friends of the sisters in our district, I ended up directing the music and the majority of the people said they just stopped singing to hear me sing haha - Outside of that the week was just workin like normal! Hope life's good :)

Transferred to Echesortu, Rosario! Kenny Week 37

Chao Venado Tuerto, y hola Echesortu! We busted out of the “One-Eyed Deer” and are here in Central Rosario now! Good times already, we have some crazy rich and crazy "villa" spots so close to each other. Good times!  - Said goodbye to Elder Nielson and hello to Elder Bunker! He’s from California, great guy and loves the work. We're getting along epically - Not many people down here really want to learn English... Rosario is really heavy on the business and work side of things, so everyone is just busy all the time here haha - The place we’re staying at here is pretty dang solid! Probably the nicest pensión in the Mission, very cool times. It’s still small and we really don't spend that much time in it so its not a big deal haha - Divisions with Elder Eldridge the Zone Leader, super smart and super friendly guy - Honestly that’s it! I’m the new District Leader here in Echesortu, so I keep the companionships here running at their highest efficiency and giving training...

Kenny week 36: Bus rides, Big spiders, Kitten in my pocket, etc.

Y'all ever just sit on a bus for 7.5 hours in one day?  10/10  would NOT recommend. Qué tal chicos! I’m still alive, and hope the same is applicable for yall o'er yonder!  - To start off strong, we had to do some Tramites (or legal document work) at the beginning of the week, where we drive to Rosario in a BIG bus that lasts about 3 hours one way... Anyway, we got to the station  at 6:40am  (nothing too crazy), waited a whopping 2 hours because the bus driver was late due to the ridiculous rainstorm that came out of nowhere, and started our journey  at about 9am  down to Rosario...  So we’re going, going, all seems well... Well plot twist it wasnt Delayed another hour on the way down due to stops on the way that took waaay too long Eventually we get there  around 1pm . We’re still alive. All good. Then the Mission Secretary lets us know that the government buildings all close at 1 for the siesta... So we hopped right back on that bus and went...

Qué tal todos!  Hope everyone is alive and well! We still don’t have snow, but don't worry, we’re nice and chilly with our sweaters in the 100 degree weather ☺️ - Saw some epic sunsets with the killer heat this week! It was awesome.  - Fun foods of course - Great sports night with the ward here! We had a change in the stake president here in Venado, so we’re Rocking and Rolling on all cylinders to work the most effectively as possible in the mission work!  - Saw some Ferrero Rochers, those things are pricy even here, some 20 bucks for a thing of 24... what on earth?? - GREAT NEWS YALL! We got a pan with a handle!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! Now our old one we can use as a frisbee :) Keep on keeping on,  Élder Chalk Pic: cleaning after last week’s Baptism
